What is Earlywork?

Earlywork is the largest tech and startup community for early-career talent across APAC, bringing together over 5000 founders, investors and operators. Community members leverage our online community, Earlywork Village, to find their next job, their dream co-founder and network with others in the local startup ecosystem.

What’s the goal of Earlywork Academy?

Earlywork Academy runs a three-week, cohort-based, virtual program created to help folks land their first full-time tech sales jobs. We’ll train you in a mix of core tech sales skills and job search skills, involving both theory and practice. On top of that, we’ll introduce you to top tech employers actively hiring entry-level sales talent.

Who can apply?

No uni degrees and no technical experience required. If you love speaking to people and solving customer problems then you’ll be the right person for our program.

Note: this program is only available to those with Australian working rights, are open to taking a full-time role at the completion of the program - even if you’re still studying, and are keen on a tech sales role specifically.

How does Earlywork Academy help me get a job?

Throughout the program, you’ll be trained in Earlywork’s end-to-end job search methodology across personal branding, LinkedIn profile design, resumes, cover letters, company research, cold outreach and interview techniques.

Leveraging this framework, we’ve helped candidates land roles at companies like Atlassian, Amazon and Eucalyptus. But the help doesn’t stop there. In partnering with tech employers, we’ll provide you tailored introductions to hiring managers at top companies actively hiring early-career sales talent.

You’ll also get access to personalised 1:1 mentoring from Earlywork team members to help you navigate your job search journey with confidence.

What are key program dates?

Applications are marked on a rolling basis. To secure your spot we recommend you apply well before the 16th of January cut off date.

How does the job guarantee and pricing work?

Earlywork Academy has a total price of $1990, with a $490 deposit prior to the program starting, and 3 instalments of $500 paid only after landing your role in tech.

If you don’t land a job offer in tech within 6 months of graduating from Earlywork Academy, you’ll get a full refund for your deposit, no strings attached.

Who's teaching the sessions?

Earlywork Academy's inaugural program will be delivered by Earlywork co-founder Dan Brockwell, leveraging sales experience he's built at Earlywork and Uber. You'll also get to hear from guest instructors who are top sales leaders in tech.

What is the time commitment?

Earlywork Academy runs a three-week intensive program that has nine sessions. These are held between Monday-Wednesday during the 6-8PM evening slot AEDT.

What if I can't make the sessions?

In order to best ensure job search success in the Earlywork Academy, it is expected that you attend all sessions. If you can't make a certain session, please let the team know ahead of time, as we tailor session formats based on the number of attendees.

There will be session recordings available for you to catch up on the content. Note that each session builds on the last, so it's vital that you do so in the event you miss an event.

Will sessions be recorded?

Yes, all sessions are recorded so you can review and watch them later. However, to maximise your opportunities to get tailored feedback and practice on core sales & job search skills, we strongly recommend that you participate in all sessions live.

Does Earlywork Academy run similar programs for other roles?

Earlywork Academy’s first program is specifically focused on tech sales. However, we intend to launch programs for other non-technical roles in future. If there’s a program you’d like to see, contact us!
